Tigers Can’t Keep Up With Hope College

The Tigers ran into a forminable and game Flying Dutchman team on Thursday in Holland.  “” They just took us completely out of everything that we like to do, and really made us work to get clean looks at the basket.” said Coach Oldebekking ” Offensively they were very intuned and making a ton of shots.”  ” I was just really impressed with the way that Hope played tonight.”  Grace kept the game close through the first 10 minutes before Hope went on a 12-0 run to open up a 42-25 halftime lead.  The Tigers came out quick in the second half and cut the lead to 12 before the Dutchman pulled away for good, leading to an 89-44 victory.    ” The guys will have a hard time believing it but there were parts of the game where we did things very well,  our defensive rotations were good and we were getting to the right spots.”  ” We just need to recognize what we need to improve on and really work on those things in our next practice.”

The Tigers are back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Waterford to take on Oakland Community College.  Grace will be back at home on Thursday December 16th when they take on the Thunder from Trine University.
