Tigers Cannot Keep Pace With Dordt JV

Brendon Coe

The Tigers travelled with the Varsity to Sioux Center Iowa for a game with the Dordt College Defenders. They were defeated in the game 84-58, dropping their record to 4-5 on the year.  ” We practiced most of last week and I thought we were coming in here prepared to win a game, but we just ran into a tough team that really shot the ball well” stated coach Oldebekking.  The Defenders used strong ball pressure and active hands to cause 23 Grace turnovers. ” They had 30 points off of our turnovers, and you are not going to win many games when you have that many turnovers.”  ” I give them a ton of credit they made us pretty uncomfortable on offense and continually found the open man against our defense.”

The Tigers had three players in double figures led by Tyler Wright with 12 points. Brad Rosenzwieg chipped in with 11 points, and Brendon Coe had a nice all around game with 10 points and 8 rebounds.

The Tigers have some time off and are back in action  on January 8th at the Aldrich Center against the University of Michigan Flint. Tip time is 1:00pm come out and cheer on your Tigers.
