Muskegon- The Tigers battled hard, but couldn’t keep up with quicker and more experienced Jayhawks from Muskegon Community College on Wednesday night losing 100-64. The Tigers started quick building a quick 11-8 lead on a couple of put backs by freshman Cameron Cramer and a three pointer by fellow freshman Caleb Cook. After a timeout the Jayhawks went on a 13-0 run and never looked back going into halftime leading 47-33. “There were some definite positives to take from this game, I thought our post defense was pretty good for the most part, offensively when were patient we got some nice looks.” Said Coach Oldebekking after the game. “ It was great for some these guys to get their feet wet in the college game, and to do it against a good opponent like MCC is only going to make us better.”
The Tigers got a strong defensive game from Cameron Cramer, holding MCC‘s fabulous freshmen Rowmell Crawford to only 10 points and having him foul out with 12:00 minutes left in the game. The Tigers were led in scoring by Cameron Cramer with 18 points and Caleb Cook with 16 points. Tigers lost the rebounding battle 50-40. The Tigers are back in action November 15th at Davenport University, tipoff is 7:30.
