Witney Duflo is coming to Grace Bible College

The Lady Tigers basketball team is excited about the newest player coming to Grace. Whitney Duflo is a 5'9" forward from Newberry Michigan and will be a great addition to our inside game. Whitney is the daughter of Jim and Krisi Duflo who visited the campus and fell in love with what Grace has to offer her. Coach Renzema is looking forward to Whitney playing for the Tigers next season.

Lady Tigers reach Final Four in the NCCAA

The Tigers played very well at the NCCAA National Tournament in Kentucky last week. The ladies opened play with a big win over Soutwestern Christian University 82-69. Heidi Salmon lead the Tigers in scoring with 27 points followed by Sonja Myers with 20.

The Tigers then played 2nd seed Philadelphia Bibical College and defeated them 75-69. Jessica Keizer and Sonja Myers each had 19 points for the ladies.

The Semi-Final game saw the Tigers playing 3rd seed Hillsdale Free Will Baptist. The ladies had a lead 3/4 through the game when point guard Jodi DeVree went down with a knee injury(ACL).
The game was tight the rest of the way with the Tigers having a chance to tie the game with just a few seconds left but fell short and lost a heart breaker 70-66. Jessica Keizer had 23 points for the game.

The Lady Tigers finished the season with a 28-13 record, best in school history.

Lady Tigers lose in Semi Finals of ACCA

The Tigers lead 37 to 20 in the first half but could not hold on to the lead. At the end of the first half the score was 37-29. It was a close game to the end but the ladies who shoot well from the freethrow line missed many down the stretch. Jessica Keizer and Heidi Salmon had 15 points for the Tigers. Jodi DeVree had 14 rebounds and 9 assists while Jessica had 11 boards.

Lady Tigers reach semi-finals in ACCA

The Lady Tigers of Grace Bible reached the semi-finals by defeating Canadian Mennonite University 83 to 48. The Tigers fell behind 5-0 and them ran off 17 straight points to take the lead and never trail again. Jessica Keizer had 21 points and 11 rebounds, followed by Sonja Myers with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

6 Lady Tigers honored at Midwest Regionals

Kate Rogers and Stephanie Caudle were given Honorable Mention All Midwest Region awards at the tournament this past weekend. Receiving All Region Teams honors were Jodi DeVree, Jessica Keizer, Heidi Salmon and Sonja Myers.

Coach Renzema was also given the Coach of the year award.


Lady Tigers lose by 2 in NCCAA regional finals

The Tigers had a tight game with Maranatha but lost by 2. It was a great ballgame from start to finish. The game was won at the foul line with Maranatha shooting 19 of 29 (66%) and the Tigers shooting 13 of 17 (75%).
Scoring for the Tigers were Sonja Myers with 19, Jessica Keizer 12, Heidi Salmon 12, Stephanie Caudle 9, Jodi DeVree 8, and Kate Rogers with 4. Sonja had 9 rebounds and Jessica and Jodi each had 7 assists.

The Tigers play in the ACCA national tournament in Oklahoma on Thursday.
