Lady Tigers Win Close game in Regional Semifinals

The Tigers move into the finals of the Midwest regionals by defeating Lincoln Christian 64-52. Jodi DeVree turned a tight game with 3 straight baskets in the middle of the 2nd half. She finish the game with 12 points, 7 steals, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The ladies had 5 girls in double figures, Jessica Keizer and Heidi salmon had 14, Stephanie Caudle and Jjodi had 12 and Sonja Myers had10. Heidi salmon and Sonja Myers had 8 rebounds each.

The Tigers face Maranatha in the finals Saturday at 1:00 PM central time.

Tigers win first game in regional

The Ladies Tigers defeated Emmaus Bible College 87 - 46. Emmaus trailed by 14 at half time 40 - 26. the Tigers turned up the heat in the second and out scored Emmaus 47 to 20. Leading the scoring for the tigers was Sonja Myers with 21 followed by Heidi salmon with 18, Kate rogers 16, stephanie Caudle 12, Jodi DeVree 9, Terrah Befus 6 and Jessica Kiezer 5. sonja Myers was also the leading rebounder with 9. Jodi DeVree had 10 assists for the Ladies.

The Ladies play Lincoln Christian University Friday night at 7:00 PM in dubuque Iowa.

Lady Tigers win in final weekend

The Lady Tigers finished the regular season with two wins last weekend. They defeated Indiana University Northwest by a score of 86 to 55. Heidi Salmon was the leading scorer with 21 points followed by Jessica Keizer with 17 and Sonja Myers with 15. Jodi DeVree had 12 rebounds for the Tigers.

In the Saturday game the Ladies defeated Andrews University 89 to 35. The Tigers shot 54% from the floor 47% from the 3 point line and 78% from the freethrow line. Leading scorer was Jessica Keizer with 22.

Lady Tigers Move to 3rd in the Nation

The Latest ranking have the Tigers moving to the 3rd spot in the NCCAA National rankings. The Ladies go to Dubuque Iowa for their regional tournament on February 28th.


Tigers defeated by Marygrove

The Tigers ran into a buzz saw when they played Marygrove College in Detroit.The Ladies shot 26 of 30 freethrows which kept them in the game until the final seconds. Marygrove had 22 offensive rebounds which sealed the fate of the Tigers. The Tigers were lead in scoring by Jessica Keizer with 24 points followed by Sonja Myers with 14 and Jodi DeVree with 13. Myers also had 10 rebounds for Grace Bible.

Jessica Sikorski to become a Tiger

The Lady Tigers basketball program received a big boost for next season with Jessica Sikorski from Wyoming Park High School giving a verbal commitment to play for the Tigers. Jessica is a 6'0" post player and will fill the spot left by the 3 graduating seniors.


Lady Tigers ranked #1 in ACCA

The Lady Tigers moved to the #1 spot in the ACCA this week moving ahead of Southwestern Christian University. The ladies have been #2 most of the season but winning 6 of their last 7 games moved them to the top spot.


Tigers beaten by Taylor Fort Wayne

In an exciting ballgame from start to finish the Tigers came up a little short with a 88-79 loss. Jessica Keizer played a great game even though she had 4 fouls most of the second half. She scored 28 points and pulled down 14 rebounds. Jodi DeVree played all 40 minutes and had 16 points and 7 assists. Stephane Caudle was 4 for 8 from the 3 point line and finish with 14 points.

NCCAA National Ranking

The Lady Tigers continue to be ranked 4th in the National rankings this week. The ladies are also the leading in scoring in the nation with a 76.8 average. Jodi DeVree leads the nation in assists with 7.6 per game.

The Tigers went to Moody Bible Institute Tuesday night and came home with a hard fought victory. The first half was a close game but the ladies shot 60% from the floor the second half to pull off a 80 to 47 victory. Heidi Salmon lead the Tigers in scoring with 20 points follow by Kate Rogers with a season high 16 points. Sonja Myers had 10 rebounds for the winners.

The Ladies travel to Taylor Fort Wayne on Saturday lookin for their 21st victory of the season.
